Hockey Olympian Dr Atif Bashir to Attend Advanced Team Physician Course in South Africa By;Asghar Ali Mubarak Rawalpindi: Dr Atif Bashir, former captain and team doctor of Pakistan hockey team, has been selected for the Advanced Team Physician Course (ATPC) by the Olympic Solidarity. The course is scheduled from 17-19 November in the South African city of Cape Town. Dr Atif Bashir, the only medical doctor to play for Pakistan’s national hockey team, played for the national team from 1995-2002 including two World Cups and one Olympics. He was declared player of the tournament at the 1998 Champions Trophy and was the flag bearer of Pakistani contingent at the 1998 Asian Games.
